Encounters lets you unite two quirky characters through music, out now on iOS and Android in case you missed it

In case you missed it, indie developers Raquel and Pilar have created a charming casual rhythm game titled Encounters, where players will control both sides of the screen to bring two star-crossed characters together. The unique gameplay mechanics go hand-in-hand with the lovely visuals; plus, there’s a lot of inclusivity in the game to boot.

In Encounters, you’ll use your eyes, ears, and hand-eye coordination to match the music as two characters make their way to each other on-screen. You’ll tap to the rhythm of the music to move your characters along, and hopefully unite them for a cute little dance party when the song ends.

Characters you bring together range from aliens to stray puppies, with tailor-made music crafted with love. You might have to give an Asian girl and a Mexican boy with a physical disability a happily ever after, or unite tech women that made a game (like the developers themselves). Other characters include a black astronaut, a boy with a penchant for baking cookies with his grandmother, a girl who loves comics and bots, and so on.

For now, you can try out Encounters over on the iOS App Store or on the Google Play Store for Android devices as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
